THE MALE ROMANOVS TODAY |
These tables illustrate the succession question. All living members of the Romanov Family today are descendants of Emperor Nikolai I. The four branches of the Romanov Family are called according to the Emperor's sons:
Both the claimant to the throne, Georgi Hohenzollern, and the actual heir to the throne (strictly according to the primogeniture), Paul R. Ilyinski, belong to the Alexandrovich branch of the Romanov Family. The head of the Romanov Family Association, Prince Nikolai Romanovich Romanov, belongs to the "Nikolaevichi".
